Ferry Beach

Not to be confused with Ferry Beach State Park located in Old Orchard/ Saco, this small beach is located near Prouts Neck. It’s one of the best spots to watch a sunset in Scarborough and it’s a local favorite to bring the kids. Just make sure you also bring the bug spray because the black flies can be intense during the evening!

Len Libby’s

If you (or your family) are a big fan of chocolate, then your trip would be a loss if you missed seeing the 1,700-pound chocolate moose — the world’s only life-size chocolate moose. Aside from Lenny, Len Libby is a sweet shop that you will be sure to find a treat!

Memorial Park

Another great spot for walking or biking, Memorial Park has plenty of spots for beautiful scenery. You can even come back to this park in the winter to enjoy some nordic skiing!

Old Orchard Beach

Let’s not forget to mention this well-known beach, just down the road from Scarborough. With an extra layer of clothes for fall, the beach is still lots of fun to walk and sightsee. You can walk the Pier and boardwalk, which is home to great shopping.

Fresh Seafood

With the summer gone, it doesn’t mean that there aren’t any more fresh catches! You can always stop by Pine Tree Seafood for a delicious lobster roll and chowder. Both will be sure to warm you up on chilly Maine fall days.
